Amateur Hour: Obama's Smart Diplomacy Is Not All That Smart

President Obama came to office saying, and apparently believing, that a kinder, gentler, more deferential America would be better respected and loved around the world. However, thanks to his efforts, America's not receiving a whole lotta love these days.

Obama's Policy of Appeasement
The attacks in Egypt come a little over three years after the embarrassing Obama Cairo speech, in which the president created an entire mythology about the history of Islam, in vain hopes of appeasing his Egyptian hosts. The violence also follows ongoing comical efforts of the administration to assure us that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is not an extremist Islamic organization bent on turning Egypt into a theocratic state. And the attacks are simultaneous with President Obama’s ongoing and crude efforts to embarrass Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty killed in Libya

Obama & Hillary: Lies & Apologies to Islam
This is the President who mourned the loss of our 4 embassy staffers including Christopher Stevens, but doesn't mention the attack on the embassy in Egypt. He and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton apologize to the attackers for a movie. Hillary tells us that the Libyans carried Chris Stevens' body to the hospital which is an outright lie (An Arab television station broadcast images of our the ambassador's body being dragged through the streets). Does our President get angry? No. Instead he apologizes for a movie, a movie most protesters haven't even seen,  which neither he or Hillary have seen.

Then, Obama refuses to take any questions from the press because he's in a hurry and where does he have to be that's more important than the crisis in the Middle East? Obama is headed for Las Vegas for a fundraiser and then on to Hollywood to guest with David Letterman. This is the man whom the mainstream media thinks is a master at foreign policy.

Marc Thiessen of the Washington Post wrote yesterday:
"How long had it been since President Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting in the lead-up to the Sept. 11 attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Egypt and Libya? After all, our adversaries are known to use the anniversary of 9/11 to target the United States.
Sept. 5 - Last time Obama attended an intelligence briefing
According to the public schedule of the president, the last time the Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting was Sept. 5 — a week before Islamist radicals stormed our embassy in Cairo and terrorists killed our ambassador to Tripoli. The president was scheduled to hold the intelligence meeting at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, the day after the attacks, but it was canceled ....and Obama apparently chose to skip it altogether and attend a Las Vegas fundraiser for his re-election campaign. One day after a terrorist attack.
But when it comes to intelligence, Obama is apparently so brilliant he can absorb the most complicated topics by himself in his study. He does not need to sit down for up to an hour a day with top intelligence officials, or hold more than 100 “deep dives” in which he invites CIA analysts into the Oval Office and gives them direct access to the commander in chief to discuss their areas of expertise. Such meetings are crutches this president does not need. Written briefings, questions and comments are enough. Obama has more important things to do — such as attend Las Vegas fundraisers."
James Clapper
Director, National
Intelligence
When it comes to Obama's foreign policy, his effort to appease Islam has been an utter failure, as we have seen in various polls that show no change in anti-American attitudes in the Middle East

Obama's National Intelligence Director  (an oxymoron) James Clapper told us during the Arab Spring uprising that “The ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ was NOT a religious group.

Then, the President downsized NASA and told us that NASA would have a new mission.  No longer was NASA going to be focused on big ideas like space stations, or going to Mars.
No, President Obama told our NASA director that he wanted him to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science.” How's that working out?

Obama: Not sure if Egypt is an ally or enemy
Earlier this week in a rare appearance on a non-showbiz outlet, President Obama, winging it on Telemundo, told his host that Egypt was neither an ally nor an enemy. We give 2 billion dollars a year to Egypt and our President can't decide if Egypt is an ally or an enemy.

Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the local doctor who fingered bin Laden to the Americans sits in jail. Why? Because our President and his White House leaked all the information on the capture of  Osama bin-Laden, to the point of putting the Pakistani doctor's life in jeopardy. Why would our President do such a thing? Because he wants to use the killing of OBL to convince the American people that he is a someone who is tough on terrorism, even if the White House and the Homeland Security Dept. forbid the use of the term "Islamic terrorism."

Ft. Hood Shooting termed an "Act of Workplace Violence"
Meanwhile, terrorist acts like the Ft. Hood shooting where Islamic terrorist, Army Major Nidal Hassan shot and killed 13 soldiers and seriously wounded 31 others has been termed by the White House and the Dept. of Homeland Security as an act of "workplace violence." I suspect that they will also call the killing of our Ambassador and 3 staffers as a tragic instance of "workplace violence" as well. So much for Obama's war on terror.

Obama’s reset on Islam and his Middle East policy was known as “smart diplomacy.” Tragically, after 4 yrs of this “smart diplomacy”, the chickens have come home to roost.

Obama Spiked the Football and Look What's Happened!

I'm sure you remember President Obama's "Spike the football statement." To refresh your memory, he told CBS News soon after terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden had been killed in a U.S. military raid on his hideout in Pakistan: “You know, we don’t trot out this stuff as trophies. Americans and people around the world are glad that he’s gone. But we don’t need to spike the football,” Obama added.  At the time, Obama cited concerns of inflaming discontent among Muslim extremists in the Middle East.

Since he uttered those words, Obama has given an "exclusive interview" to Brian Williams of NBC filmed inside the White House Situation Room where the national security team watch the bin Laden raid take place.

Compare those words from last year
with the Obama campaign’s newest ad, which marks the one-year anniversary of bin Laden’s death by suggesting that GOP challenger Mitt Romney would not have made a similar decision to smoke out and bring down the al-Qaeda leader. While he hesitated to to offend bin Laden sympathizers, it seems like President Obama now has no issues when it comes to using bin Laden’s death to bolster his own reelection campaign.

The killing of bin Laden was mentioned 21 times at the recent Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. And you don't think our enemies weren't watching the Democrat Convention over in the Middle East? You think they didn't hear all this bragging? Of course they did!

And here's the point of all this...the media is leading us to believe that an anti-Muslim film decrying Mohammed as a hypocrite and fraud is responsible for the protests in Egypt and the killing of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and 3 associates in Libya.

The U.S. Embassy puts out this statement apologizing in advance for all the hurt feelings caused by this movie:
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions (unless you are Catholic and are opposed to abortion or birth control. If you're Catholic, your religious freedom doesn't matter. The same for those who produced the film, "Innocence of Muslims." They have no rights or freedoms according to our media and our government. And if you're Rev. Terry Jones and hate Islam, you have no religious rights or freedoms-you might as well go hang yourself as far as our media and government is concerned.) Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy (unless you are Catholic, or evangelical Christian, or make a film that criticizes Mohammed and Islam, or if you happen to be a pastor from Florida who is convinced that Islam wants to destroy our way of life, then you will get no respect and you have NO rights, according to our media, our government, and Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pentagon). We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others (in other words, if you don't love Islam and think of it as a religion of peace, then shut the *_ _k up!)
Tearing down U.S. flag at Egyptian Embassy
However, new reports are coming to light that suggest the trigger for these protests was NOT the anti-Islam film, Innocence of Muslims, but Obama himself, with his repeated "spiking of the football."

This is the administration that is so concerned about NOT hurting the feelings of Muslims, and yet they have been bragging non-stop about killing bin Laden. Even their new campaign bumper sticker slogan, "GM's Alive and Osama's Dead." So we've been ramming it down the throats of Islamists all over the world. Is it any wonder that as they were tearing down the U.S. flag at the Egyptian embassy, the protesters were chanting, "We're all Osama's, Obama. We're all Osama's, Obama. We're all Osama's Obama!"

So one might conclude that the one who ignited this uprising in Egypt and Libya is not the producer of some anti-Islamic film, but rather, our very own President Barack Obama, the one who wrote in his autobiography, Audacity of Hope, "I will stand with the Muslims, should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Well, I would say the political winds have shifted and we know who our esteemed President is siding with, and it's not with the American people or the Constitution.

Muslim protesters kill U.S. ambassador and 3 others. What next??

Unless you've been living in a cave or on a deserted island with no wi-fi, you've seen this headline:

U.S. Ambassador to Libya Is Killed

The attacks occurred Tuesday night in the eastern city of Benghazi by protesters angry over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad, according to Libya officials.

Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens
It is being reported in the Wall Street Journal that these protesters are "religious extremists." They are not religious extremists but typical everyday Muslims who get angry and violent whenever anyone attacks or criticizes Islam, Mohammed or the Koran. The film in question, which you don't even read about in most of the accounts was made by Egyptian Coptic Christians, titled "Innocence of Muslims." The purpose of this film is to call attention to the hypocrisies of Islam. The film was produced and directed by Sam Bacile, a 56 yr. old Israeli-Jew. It depicts Muhammad as a feckless philanderer who approved of child sexual abuse, among other overtly insulting claims that have caused outrage.

Muslims find it offensive to depict Muhammad in any manner, let alone insult the prophet. A Danish newspaper's 2005 publication of 12 caricatures of the prophet triggered riots in many Muslim countries.

Libyan protester
Question: Presidents Geo. W. Bush and Obama have both declared Islam to be a "religion of peace." Is it really? What religion targets and wants to kill anyone who disagrees with them or criticzes them? Newspapers and media outlets around the world cower in fear of Islamic retaliation. They will not criticize Islam in any way, shape or form. Reporters are afraid to write anything that might sound critical of Islam for fear of losing their life. What kind of religion of peace is this? George Bush, are you listening? I doubt it. You along with so many others will conclude that this is just a group of Muslim extremists who did this evil, despicable act. Well, you would be wrong as you so often were, George W. Bush. But don't worry, you're not alone, you are in good company with President Obama, the State Dept., and most of the liberal drive-by media.

This tragic act was not committed by Muslim extremists but by everyday Muslims. It started over a film that was made by Coptic Christians who have suffered persecution and even death at the hands of Islam in Egypt. They have every right to expose the lies and hypocrisy of Islam.

Egyptian protesters tearing down the U.S. flag
Muslims wonder why they are met with suspicion and resistance around our country and the world when they want to be part of our communities, it's events like this they should remember. Committing murder at our Embassy in Libya and storming our Egyptian embassy over a movie about Muhammad that was in a less than favorable light is completely insane and indicative of the Islamic culture. Is their religion so false they have to protect its image with violence in order to keep their followers from abandoning it?

Ft. Hood terrorist, Maj. Nidal Hassan
Today, Obama will still appease Islam by saying that these acts don't represent Islam, but a fringe group of extremists. And when Major Nidal Hassan gunned down 13 military personnel and wounded 29 others, the Obama Regime called it "workplace violence." They refuse to label it terrorism, even though Hassan praised Allah right before he starting shooting. He was also inspired by radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. Even now, more than two years later, Maj. Nassan has not been tried. So much for swift justice especially for the victims.

President Thomas Jefferson sent the Unites States Marines to Tripoli. President Barry Soetoro Obama sends an apology for hurting Muslim feelings. Today, all you will read about from this President and this administration is a condemnation of efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.

If you are a Christian and you're reading this post, what can you do? Pray. Join me as I pray the following:
Memorial service for the victims of the Ft. Hood shooting
  • Pray for the families of Ambassador Chris Stevens and the three staffers who were killed. Pray for God's grace and mercy to comfort them in this time of sorrow and grief. Ask God to send believers to them to help them through this dark time.
  • Pray for those who did this, for God's mercy and love and forgiveness to be demonstrated to them. Pray for Christians who still remain in Libya as well as all throughout the Middle East--that they would have abundant opportunities to share the Good News of the Messiah to the Muslims everywhere.
  • Pray that Muslims' hearts and minds might be open to the truth of the Gospel. Pray that Christians will have the boldness and strength to speak the truth of the Gospel to their Muslim friends and neighbors.
  • Pray for Muslims throughout the world to receive dreams and visions about Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Pray that many would be set free from the bondage and deception of Islam. Pray for the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to pierce the darkness of Islam throughout the world.
  • Pray for Christian broadcasters throughout the Middle East to have wisdom and to be able to address this sensitive issue with love, courage and with the truth of God's Word.

Turning Water Into Wine: God loves a party!

In the Gospel of John, chapter 2, Jesus attends a wedding in Cana, about 8 miles from Nazareth. Jesus' mother is already there, and as with all weddings at that time in Israel, they lasted seven days and the hosts invited as many friends and family as possible. To run out of wine at a wedding was a major social disgrace. The host was supposed to have enough wine for all seven days.

When Renee and I were married at the Brockport Presbyterian Church in Western NY in 1979, our wedding did not last seven days and we had no alcohol at our wedding. ZERO, unless you count the alcohol that some of our guests discretely brought in undercover. We should have invited Jesus to do something similar, since he was at our wedding. He could have made it special just like he did here in Cana. Many of our guests (not from our local church) felt awkward and ill at ease because of no alcohol.

In retrospect, I believe we did a disservice to many of our guests by not serving alcohol; we didn't even serve champagne for the toast. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not pushing alcohol. At this point in time, I seldom drink, but if I'm at a wedding, I'd probably have some champagne or a glass of wine. The issue for me is those who try to make the Bible say something that it doesn't say. The issue for me is those who paint God's character as one who is a celestial killjoy. Some of the Christians who abstain from alcohol and everything else look like they've been baptized in lemon juice. They are not fun people--in fact, some of them don't even know how to have fun or to enjoy a wedding or a party.

Here at this wedding in Cana, Jesus' mother asks  him to do something. There were six stone jars there which were used for purification rites and held 20-30 gallons of water each. Jesus commands that each jar be filled with water and then he tells the servants to draw out the water and take it to the master of ceremonies. In John 2:9-10, we read
"The person in charge tasted the water that had become wine. He didn't know where it had come from, although the servers who had poured the water knew. The person in charge called the groom and said to him, “Everyone serves the best wine first. When people are drunk, the host serves cheap wine. But you have saved the best wine for now.”
I want you to notice what the MC (host) said to the bridegroom. He says that usually at weddings, they serve the best wine first and then after people are drunk (did you notice that--Jesus is at a wedding where people were drunk, and he created wine for people to drink who were already drunk?) the host would serve the cheap Red Mountain wine which no one would even notice because they taste buds and senses were dulled. But now the host is astounded because he says they've saved the best wine for last. This is the wine that Jesus had just created in his first miracle.

Here's what I want you to see in Jesus' first miracle: God is no killjoy! He loves weddings and parties and does not have a problem with people drinking alcohol.

In Matthew 11:19, we see that Jesus did NOT abstain and he was considered a drunkard by his critics. God made everything and everything is good, including wine. Paul tells us that nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. The problem with those who argue for abstaining because alcohol is being used wrongly is that it's not a consistent argument. Sex is abused and misused and we don't tell married couples to abstain because there is sexual perversion. We don't get rid of sex, but instead we use it rightly. When we see people engaging in gluttony and overeating to the point of obesity, we don't forbid eating food and we don't abstain from eating food including desserts.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:31 that "whatever you do, do it to the glory of God." Men have abused all kinds of things including children and women and we don't get rid of them, do we?

Proverbs 3:9-10 (GW)
9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the first and best part of all your income. 10 Then your barns will be full, and your vats will overflow with fresh wine.
Here's what God tells his people to do after they've worked hard, paid their bills, paid their tithe, taken care of the poor--in Deuteronomy 14:25-26 (GW)
25 If so, exchange the tenth part of your income for silver. Take the silver with you, and go to the place the LORD your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you want: cattle, sheep, goats, wine, liquor—whatever you choose. Then you and your family will eat and enjoy yourselves there in the presence of the LORD your God.
Here's the problem in some Christian circles today, especially here in the Bible Belt, we selectively take different issues which are debatable and turn them into "forbidden sins." We don't like cigarettes and smoking so that's a sin because it harms your body--never mind that these same legalists usually carry more weight than is healthy for their "temple." We don't like certain music and it's sinful unless you can buy it at your local Christian bookstore. We don't go to movies because they are evil and sinful, but if the movie is "Christian" or made by some church in Alabama, then we can give ourselves permission to darken the doors of our local cinema complex.

There are two gospels at work in the Christian church today: One is a gospel of works where we achieve a degree of righteousness based on what we do or don't do. We are "good Christians" if we don't drink, smoke, chew, go to movies, watch TV, etc. The other gospel which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ says that we cannot attain His righteousness by any of these legalistic "dos and don'ts." Only the blood of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross can make us righteous and holy.

If you don't drink, be blessed but don't look down on those who drink--don't fall into the trap of classifying them as "lost sinners" because they frequent a bar or drink wine with their meals.Otherwise, you become like the Pharisees who called Jesus and his disciples drunkards.

I live next door to a dry county where "lips that touch liquor...."

I live next door to a dry county (Marshall County, KY). For those of you who live in a more tolerant and less religious region of the country, you’re probably thinking a dry county means they don’t get much rain, or they have a “dry sense of humor.” Well you would be wrong. A “dry county” means NO ALCOHOL can be served in restaurants, or sold in stores. Period.

Recently, Marshall County, KY had an election on whether alcohol could be served in restaurants and sold in stores. Reality check: I know this is 2012 but this was a big deal, and there were signs in yards everywhere, “I vote DRY,” “Vote NO, Keep Our County DRY,” “Vote YES.” The “No’s” which were opposed to the “evils” of alcohol were driven primarily by the local churches. Now, sadly, this tells you something about many of the churches in Marshall County (almost one on every corner) where the worst sin in the Bible is consumption of alcohol, as opposed to gluttony ( a leading factor in obesity which is an epidemic here in the South ).   churches).

Recently I was reading about the first miracle that Jesus ever performed: The miracle of turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana. Among all of Jesus’ miracles in the Bible, this is probably Bible-belt pastors’ least favorite and most ignored. I suspect that in many Bible-belt churches, this miracle is never preached or taught because they don't know what to do with this miracle which is "pro" alcohol, "pro" drinking real wine.

For a while I attended a church with a pastor who was a recovering alcoholic. He never addressed this miracle in John 2. However, in every other sermon, he would interject something regarding the sin of drinking and alcohol, one time inferring that if you had been to a bar the night before, you needed to come forward and meet Jesus. In other words, being at a bar was the sure sign that you were an unbeliever and far removed from the Lord. This pastor never distinguished between drinking alcohol and being drunk. For him the sin was not drunkenness, but alcohol itself, which is not biblical.

Historically, God’s people have enjoyed alcohol:
  • When a young Christian woman in Europe was to be married, they would get together and form a bridal ale for her. The men in the church brewed the ale.
  • John Calvin, one of the greatest pastors and Bible commentators, he had in his compensation package that he would get 250 gal. of wine for his duties as a pastor.  Martin Luther's wife, Catherine, was a classically-trained certified brewer of ale.
  • When the Puritans landed, did they erect the first permanent bldg. as a church or a brewery? They erected a brewery.
  • Martin Luther said that "Do you suppose that abuses are eliminated by destroying the object which is abused? Men can go wrong with wine and women. Shall then should we abolish and prohibit women? The answer is "No." Some people worship the stars...should we pluck them out of the sky?
Alcohol prohibition came out of feminism. Around the turn of the century, there was a great increase in liberal Christianity and feminism. Those things coalesced into the temperance movement. This was the reason for the origination of grape juice, created in 1869 by a Methodist pastor, Rev. Welch, who didn't want to serve alcohol anymore.

One of the reasons that women's movement fought so hard to get rid of pubs was because it was the center of a social movement--a gathering place. Those pubs were largely male-dominated, and there was a fight to get rid of the pubs and shut them down.

If you have been raised in a legalistic “King James Only” church, you've been told that when the Bible says wine, it doesn't mean wine--well, what does it mean? When the Bible says wine, it means wine and when it says God, it means God and when it says "hell", it means hell. The Bible speaks of wine frequently and every time it does, it means wine. The Bible says "Don't get drunk on new wine." How can you get drunk on grape juice?

How often have you been told that the wine in the Bible was “mixed wine,” diluted with very little alcoholic content? Mixed wine in Isaiah 1:22 is condemned because they were watering down the wine to “rip” people off.  Wines mixed with fruit, spices were dessert wines. Numbers 6:3 speaks of strong drink and also grape juice. So if the Bible has a word for grape juice and a word for wine, then when it says wine in the Bible, it means WINE, not grape juice.

In my next post, we’ll look more closely at Jesus’ first miracle and the implications of this miracle for us today, and what it tells us about God,

Does God abstain from alcohol? Would He vote "no" or "yes"? The answer may surprise you!

689 Reasons to Defeat Barack Obama. That's a start....

It's time for a bit of levity. In today's National Review Online, their clever and witty staff have given readers "689 Reasons To Defeat Barack Obama." This is delicious and worth reading as you attempt to watch the Democrat National Convention this week from Charlotte, NC.

I'm listing just 60 of these reasons...and they are not necessarily the funniest.

You'll just have to follow the link over to NRO to read the remaining 629 reasons. Enjoy!!

689 Reasons To Defeat Barack Obama:
  1. Because he was not the one we were waiting for.
  2. Because the country is ready for its first African-American FORMER president.
  3. To give him more time to write his third memoir.
  4. For claiming that he wold cut the deficit in half.
  5. And then adding more than $5 trillion is new debt.
  6. Because the buck never stops.
  7. For blaming George Bush.
  8. For blaming headwinds
  9. For blaming ATMs.
  10. Because he listened to the Reverend Wright's crackpot racist diatribes for years and then gave us a lecture on racism.
  11. Because of the $800 billion stimulus bill.
  12. "Shovel-ready" projects.
  13. The non-existence of shovel-ready projects.
  14. For joking about the non-existence of shovel-ready projects.
  15. Because there were stimulus grants in imaginary zip codes.
  16. For 613 new federal regulations in the first 33 months of his presidency.
  17. And because 129 of those regulations will each cost the economy more than $100 million a year.
  18. Because the Small Business Administration estimates the price of current regulations at $1.75 trillion annually--a bigger burden than the corporate income tax.
  19. Because he said "the private sector is doing fine."
  20. Because we now have a 24 percent unemployment rate for people 16 to 19 years old.
  21. Because, in his own words, his "first job is to make sure the economy is growing, that we're creating jobs out there." You said it, not us.
  22. Because we deserve a president who can pronounce "corpsman."
  23. So you'll be able to criticize the president once again without being called a racist.
  24. Because there are 46 million people on food stamps.
  25. And the spending on food stamps has doubled from $39 billion in 2008 to $81 billion in 2012.
  26. The proliferation of food stamp advertisements.
  27. Because of a record 2.8 million foreclosures in 2009.
  28. And then a record 2.9 million foreclosures in 2010.
  29. Recovery summer.
  30. Recovery summer II
  31. Recovery summer III
  32. Because America can't handle any more Recovery summer sequels.
  33. Because he values Jon Corzine's advice.
  34. The fact that the stimulus spent $9.38 million to renovate a train depot that has been closed 30 yrs.
  35. And sent $11 million to Microsoft to build a bridge to its campus.
  36. And $300,000 to study yoga's impact on menopause.
  37. As well as $30 million to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies to build a training complex.
  38. And $200,000 to help Siberians lobby their legislators.
  39. And $700,000 to help crab fisherman to recover their crab pots.
  40. Trump could really use a big draw for the next Celebrity Apprentice.
  41. He could spend more time with his beloved straw men, who are no doubt dating his composite girlfriends.
  42. Because America is not full of doctors who amputate healthy feet for profit.
  43. He promised to televise deliberations over Obamacare.
  44. Because he made 58 speeches to sell Obamacare and not one of them honest.
  45. It's racist to say "Obamacare."
  46. Except when he says it.
  47. The President's health-care bill wasn't going to add "one dime" to the defecit.
  48. It will ad 10 million tons of dimes to the deficit.
  49. So that kids will know once again that it's okay to succeed.
  50. Because the average American works until July 15 to pay off the government.
  51. He thinks government is what makes us great.
  52. For Attorney General Eric Holder
  53. "Anyone can grow up to be president" but we didn't need someone to prove it.
  54. President Obama's DOJ sued the State of Florida because it attempted to purge the state's voter rolls of foreigners and deceased citizens.
  55. For "Fast and Furious."
  56. For lying about "Fast and Furious."
  57. Eric Holder's stonewalling on "Fast and Furious."
  58. Opposing all parental-notification laws.
  59. And describing becoming pregnant as "being punished with a baby."
  60. For his 100 percent pro-abortion rating from NARAL and Planned Parenthood.

Labor Day 2012: If you don't have a job, it's no holiday!

Here's a quote from today's Washington Times:
"For 23 million Americans without jobs, the Labor Day holiday is not a day off but just another day without work. It’s a fitting hash mark for the presidential campaign kickoff, reminding Americans of President Obama’s tragic failure to deliver."
Jobless workers line up in Missouri to apply for  work.
Youth unemployment is up to 17.1 percent and the black unemployment has risen to 14.4%. Those who've given up looking for work or can't find work are at an all time high of 14.9%,

The President's press secretary, Jay Carney had the audacity to say that all this unemployment isn't really bad news. He thinks it can be healthy for the economy because jobless benefits boost consumption and the money that the unemployed spend creates growth and boosts the economy. Do you believe that? Is that the kind of rhetoric you expect to hear from the President's press secretary? It's idiotic and it epitomizes this administration in every way!!

WH press secretary, Jay Carney
Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader

By the way, Nancy Pelosi and White House senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, have both said the same thing. (This is the same Nancy Pelosi, a brilliant intellect who told us that the Affordable Health Care Act of 2600 pages had to be passed so we would know what's in it. Duh?!!) It must be the new Democratic talking point to rationalize and justify 8.3% unemployment.

Personally, I think It's part of the BIG LIE which if you tell it often enough, people will begin to believe it. What used to be bad is now good, what was once considered idiotic is now wisdom. If unemployment is such a boost to the economy, let's all quit our jobs and  go on the government dole, and collect our unemployment checks for the next 3 yrs or more.

As we celebrate Labor Day 2012, we need to be reminded that those who are actively working in the Labor Force here in America is 63.8%, the LOWEST number since WWII.
President Obama in a rare

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend. If you have a job, you've earned this day of rest. If you believe in prayer, pray for the 23 million who are out of work and clinging to what little hope they have of getting a job. If you really care about the 23 million, vote for Mitt Romney and real change this coming November. He knows what needs to be done to unleash the private sector and all of our energy resources to create new jobs. Within his first year, probably 3-4 million new jobs will be created and the XL Pipeline will be approved creating new construction jobs for thousands.

If you don't have a job, it's no holiday, it's a not-so-subtle reminder that your president and this administration don't really care about you or your need for work. They're too busy campaigning, fundraising and golfing.
