When I hear the latest polls which have Obama and Romney locked in a dead heat, and in some cases, Obama ahead by 4 points, I fear for our country. We have met the enemy and he is us.
We have a president who is leading the charge against success and individual achievement. If you're successful, you don't deserve your success because you got it on the backs of other people.
According to Obama, if you're Bill Gates of Windows, Steve Jobs of Apple, Ray Kroc of McDonald's, Walt Disney, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Larry Page of Google--you don't deserve your success because you've stolen it from other people; you've stolen their labor. We have the president of the United States denigrating the entire concept of success and attempting to dismantle the American dream.
Once upon a time, we celebrated success and wanted to
be like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford,Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Ray Kroc or Larry
Page, but now we've got a president who has successfully brainwashed half the
country with his "class warfare rhetoric" that this kind of
success is "criminal" and not really deserved. According to Obama, these successful,
innovative entrepreneurs did it with the help of government and other
people, and they're ungrateful.
We now have a president who has never held a job, never met a payroll, not even operated a lemonade stand and he is out there attacking those who are successful, who innovate and create jobs for millions of Americans. Men like Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb and electricity without any government help, as well as Henry Ford who invented the modern assembly-line. Walt Disney pioneered animation, built Disneyland and Disneyworld, and Disney Studios in Burbank without any financial assistance from Uncle Sam. And then there is Steve Jobs--If he would've waited for the government to invest in Apple, there would be NO iPad, iPhone or Macbook Pro today!

For Obama, it's always about expanding government at the
expense of free enterprise and the private sector. Government is always the
"good guy" and small business, companies and corporations are the
"bad guys."
Here's what Obama said last Friday in Virginia to a cheering crowd:
FOLLOWERS: That's right!
OBAMA: You didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, "Well, it must be because I was just so smart!"
FOLLOWERS: (laughing)
OBAMA: There are a lot of smart people out there. "It must be because I worked harder than everybody else." Let me tell you something. There are a whole bunch of hardworkin' people out there!
FOLLOWERS: (cheers and applause)
OBAMA: If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help!
FOLLOWERS: Yeaaaaaah!
OBAMA: There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.
FOLLOWERS: Yeaaaaaah!
OBAMA: Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges! If you've got a business, you -- you didn't build that!
FOLLOWERS: Yeaaaaaah!
OBAMA: Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
OBAMA: Look, i-i-if you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own.
Obama's goal is to convince the American public that whatever success you've achieved as a businessman or employer is not deserved. You haven't earned it; you stole it from the little people, the poor people. This is what Obama learned at the feet of Frank Marshall, his self-described mentor and an avowed communist. This is what his father in Kenya taught him. But the sad thing is that now we're at a tipping point where half the country believes in what Obama is saying, and are giving him their full support.
As Pogo said, "we have met the enemy and he is us."
