This just in: 

President Barack Obama has been awarded the dubious honor of "LIE of the YEAR" with a rating of "Pants on Fire" by the Politifact-fact-checking website.

Just to refresh your memory--Our president looked straight into the camera and on numerous occasions and said:

• Obamacare would bring down premiums by $2500 for the typical family (find me an example of where that is currently taking place. In most instances, it is doubling and tripling premiums of most families).

• President’s weekly address, June 6, 2009: "If you like the plan you have, you can keep it.  If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too.  The only change you’ll see are falling costs as our reforms take hold." Tell that to the millions who are receiving cancellation notices from their health insurers because Obamacare has forced the health insurance company to dump them. These millions of insured were happy with their coverage, but are NOW being told by Obama that their coverage is sub-standard, sub-par. According to the new federal guidelines for coverage, most insurance plans don't meet the government definition which includes forcing 50-yr old men to have coverage for mammogram screening and birth control.

• Town hall in Green Bay, Wis., June 11, 2009: "No matter how we reform health care, I intend to keep this promise:  If you like your doctor, you'll be able to keep your doctor; if you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan." (How can you keep your doctor when he's not in your exchange and he's not on the short list of accepted doctors? How can you keep your doctor when he's losing his medical practice due to Obamacare?)

• Presidential press conference, June 23, 2009. "If you like your plan and you like your doctor, you won't have to do a thing. You keep your plan. You keep your doctor."

• Town hall in Grand Junction, Colo., Aug. 15, 2009: "I just want to be completely clear about this. I keep on saying this but somehow folks aren't listening — if you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan.  Nobody is going to force you to leave your health care plan.  If you like your doctor, you keep seeing your doctor." (Notice how Obama typically attacks his critics by saying "but somehow folks aren't listening." It's now obvious that his critics were RIGHT.

• First presidential debate in Denver, Oct. 3, 2012: "If you've got health insurance, it doesn't mean a government takeover. You keep your own insurance. You keep your own doctor. But it does say insurance companies can't jerk you around." (It's not the health insurance companies "jerking us around" that we're worried about. It's Obama who's jerking us around!!)

In one of the opening chapters of Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov", a revered monk tells Karamazov, "A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others."

This certainly describes our president and his administration. Since they hold their intellect in high esteem, they cannot blame their willful denial of reality on ignorance. Therefore they must be lying to themselves

Breaking news! Glitch affects roll-out of health exchanges!

The headline in today's Wall Street Journal: Glitch Affects Roll-out of Health Exchanges.

Less than two weeks before the launch of insurance marketplaces created by the health overhaul, the software can't reliably determine how much people need to pay for their health coverage.

Can you believe this? This is what we have to look forward to with Obamacare--2 weeks from the start of the all important health exchanges, and the software doesn't work.

Intent to deal with the computer issues the same way he does Congress, the Supreme Court, Iran, etc. and etc., sources say that BHO walked into the server room, and gave the system a stern warning that it had better get itself into compliance in time. Then he headed for the golf course, stopping only to pick up a carton of smokes.

Mr. President, what happened to your "cool" diplomacy?

Obama wants to go to war with Syria? Why? Because they crossed a "red line." And, now we learn that it wasn't "his" red line, it's the international community's red line and Congress' red line. Obama never takes responsibility for any thing including his OWN words in 2012 where he said it was HIS RED LINE.

Whatever happened to Obama's Magical Diplomacy?

What happened to diplomacy? When he ran for prez in 2008, Obama mocked Bush for his "war-mongering" tendencies (even though Bush assembled 50 nations to support his war against Iraq) and said what was needed was diplomacy. Barack Hussein Obama assured us that he could win the respect of the international community. He assured us that he could arrive at a peaceful solution to conflicts rather than resorting to war. Yeah, and how's that working out Mr. President? Thus far, the international community thinks he's a joke and no one wants to join him in his "shot across the bow" to Syria. Obama has LESS respect among the nations of the world than here at home. They have come to realize that he can't be trusted and he is not fit to lead a group of children as a crossing guard across the street much less a war against Syria.

What does a "shot across the bow" mean?

Even if it is just a shot across the bow, when one takes such a shot it is a warning of future action if the warning is not heeded, but in this case WHAT FUTURE ACTION? We don't have a plan for the Middle Syria. The way this "shot across the bow" has been described, it sounds like just another thicker red line, sort of like voting present. And what happens if Syria resorts to chemical weapons again?

When Obama addresses the nation on Tuesday evening, most of America will tune him out. He's a summer rerun when the new fall shows are starting. He has exhausted his credibility. He has lied to us on too many occasions. How about "Fast and Furious", Solyndra, ACA honey pot, IRS, Benghazi, NSA? He lied about the cause of death of the 4 Americans in Benghazi and we still don't know what the President was doing from 5pm to 1am on Sept. 11, 2012. And we have a press corps with zero curiosity. No one has pressed him for his minute-by-minute whereabouts on Sept. 11.

Going to war against Syria will NOT restore America's credibility. We have no credibility among our allies or our enemies. America's credibility will NOT be restored until Obama is out of office. And since when do we go to war to protect the reputation and credibility of a foolish president who doesn't really care about what's going on in Syria or the Middle East. The only thing he cares about is his next golf game.

Liar Liar, Pants on Fire!

Is it just me, or does everything that I hear from this administration seems to be an outright lie? It's almost like a game of who can get away with the most lies and there's no concern about being caught because it now seems like a perverse joke: Who can tell the biggest lies and still keep a straight face? They tell lie after lie with no shame or remorse when they get caught.

Here's some of the evidence that I've gathered thus far:

• Almost all the IRS officials have lied about their unlawful targeting of conservative groups. It was not
  the sole work of a few misguided agents in Cincinnati. They were only following orders from higher ups in Washington.
• Attorney General Eric Holder has lied under oath to Congress. He swore that he had no knowledge of any effort to go after individual reporters. But an official Justice Department statement shows that Holder signed off on a search warrant to monitor the communications of Fox News reporter James Rosen. He LIED.
• Sen. Ron Wyden (D., Oregon) recently asked James Clapper, Dir. of National Intelligence whether the NSA collected the phone and email records of millions of ordinary Americans. Clapper said "NO, it did not." He LIED. 
• Last November, White House press secretary Jay Carney, was asked point blank whether the administration had altered CIA produced intelligence memos to fit it's narrative of a spontaneous riot
  
  in Benghazi fueled by a YouTube video. Jay Carney answered unequivocally that the Obama administration had made only ONE small stylistic change. That too was a LIE. In fact, we later learned that there were at least 12 different drafts that reflected substantial changes.
• The Obama White House lied about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi just to get elected. Obama sent UN ambassador Susan Rice out on 5 Sunday talk shows with the official line that the attack on the Libyan embassy was sparked by a YouTube video. On the night of the attack, Beth Jones, acting secretary of state of the Near Eastern division, sent an email to the State Dept that the group that conducted the attacks on the embassy was Ansar al-Sharia, affiliated with Islamic terrorists. 3 days later the White House prepared talking points for Susan Rice to report that the attack on the Libyan embassy in Benghazi had nothing to do with terrorists. It was in response to a YouTube video. Lies. Nothing but lies.
• Arne Duncan, the secretary of education, on "Face the Nation" was caught in an out-and-out lie saying that because of the sequester, nearly 40,000 teachers would lose their jobs. A week later, he was forced to admit that he had lied.  
• Ken Salazar, Secretary of the Interior and his Energy Czar Carol Browner lied about and used fraudulent claims to impose an offshore drilling ban in the wake of the BP oil spill, then were rebuked by a federal judge.
• During 2008 campaign, Sen. Obama said, "Public Will Have 5 Days To Look At Every Bill That Lands On My Desk." Lie.
• During the same campaign, Sen. Obama promised that he would have the most open and transparent administration that Washington has ever seen. Lie
• In his attempt to distance himself from the evil Pres. Geo. W. Bush, Obama declared that there would be no illegal wire tapping of American citizens. Now we all know this was a lie.
• Here's an audacious statement from Obama:  "For the first time since 1990, American manufacturers are creating new jobs." Lie.
• "We've excluded lobbyists from policymaking jobs." The Tampa Times found at least four.
• Obama: "We import more oil today than ever before." Politifact reports that oil imports are down.

What is the point of this laundry list of lies (which is just the tip of the iceberg). As Victor Hansen writes in the National Review, deception and lies infect every corner of the executive branch, eroding the trust that is necessary for democracy itself. 

The arrogance in Washington is seen in the justification that any means necessary is "ok" even if one has to tell a lie to stop the Tea Party or Fox News, then it's not seen by this administration as a lie.

Where does God stand on the subject of lies? He hates lies and liars. One of the titles for God is the God of Truth (Isaiah 65:16). God says, "The one who does deceitful things will not stay in my home." The one who tells lies will not remain in my presence.(Psalm 101:7).

Proverbs 19:5 (GW) ⁵ A lying witness will not go unpunished. One who tells lies will not escape.

Paul writes 1 Timothy 1:10 (GW) that ¹⁰ Laws are intended for people involved in sexual sins, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for those who lie when they take an oath, and for whatever else is against accurate teachings.

We all get caught in a lie sooner or later. The Lord is not looking for perfection, He's looking for those who have honest and contrite hearts, who are not lifted up with pride or conceit and who can admit their sins and ask for His forgiveness. The problem God really has is with those who practice the art of lying, and do so on a daily basis. They are in grave danger as far as their eternal destiny because they are in bed with the Devil, whom Jesus said is "the father of lies."

Libya-gate makes Watergate look like chump change!

In last week's debate, *Obama feigned outrage and offense that he would intentionally "mislead" the country regarding the Libya debacle.

Here's all you need to know: Obama LIED. Four men died. (This just in--read Gordon Crovitz's excellent opinion piece in today's Wall Street Journal: "You Tube Videos Don't Kill People.")

I am a card carrying member of the Vietnam-Watergate generation. We were weaned on Watergate as the worst political scandal in U.S. history. Compared with this administration's lies and obfuscations, Watergate was kindergarten, sandbox stuff. Most of my generation was brainwashed by the Washington Post's hack reporters, Woodward and Bernstein along with the rest of the msm (main-stream media) to believe that Watergate was the last word in political subterfuge.

Nixon and Watergate pale in comparison to what is unraveling before our very eyes. I say this at the risk of sounding callous and being accused of betraying my generation's trumped-up outrage over Watergate, but the fact is: Nobody died because of Watergate! Nobody!

Watergate was chump change compared to the deaths of our Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, a Foreign Service information officer, and Tyrone S. Woods and Glen A. Doherty, two former Navy SEALs working as security personnel at the consulate in Benghazi.

Don't expect Bob Woodward or the NY Times to investigate Libya-gate. Why? Because it originated with their man, President Obama. He's a Democrat and the media has to protect him and provide him cover. Woodward and Bernstein will be conspicuously absent and will choose not to exercise their journalistic skills along with the rest of the media who will yawn and report that this is much ado about nothing. But it's not. Hopefully, Romney will challenge the President's phony bluster and outrage in Monday's debate. Obama never called it a terrorist attack. He blamed it on a video for two weeks. Charles Krauthammer has offered Romney a zinger of a comeback for Monday's debate:

You are offended by this accusation, Mr. President? The country is offended that your press secretary, your U.N. ambassador, and you yourself have repeatedly misled the nation about the origin and nature of the Benghazi attack.

The problem wasn’t the video, the problem was policies for which you say you now accept responsibility. Then accept it, Mr. President. You were asked in the last debate why more security was denied our people in Libya despite the fact that they begged for it. You never answered that question, Mr. President. Or will you blame your Secretary of State?

 Remember the first rule of selecting a president: When the White House phone rings at 3am, who do you want answering it? Or better yet, do you want someone who will even be there at 3am and not in Las Vegas partying with Jay-Z or yukking it up with David Letterman?

Obama wants to control your iPhone and the Internet. This is scary stuff!

Obama signs another executive order, giving his White House the control over your cellphone and the Internet.

On July 13 this summer, Pres. Obama signed another executive order to giving Sis Napolitano & the Dept. of Homeland Security control over your cell phone (wireless communications) and complete control over the Internet, in instances of emergency.

The mass media (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NYTimes, etc.) as usual, totally ignored this story. Why? Maybe because they want to keep you in the dark as to how Obama is slowly preparing to take away more and more of your freedoms, including the use of cell phones and the internet.

This EXECUTIVE ORDER is unconstitutional. It was NEVER discussed or debated in Congress by our elected representatives. This should have been a decision made by Congress. In that sense, I also fault John Boehner (Speaker of the House) and Harry Reid (Senate leader) for not challenging this executive order, and the further usurping of their powers by this president.

This comes from the same man who on Wednesday of this week before the U.N. assembly said:

".....the notion that we can control the flow of information is obsolete."

But he doesn't really believe that or he wouldn't have signed this executive order. Of course Obama not only believes he can control the flow of information but that he as President and King has a divine right to control your cellphone as well as the Internet. In an earlier post, I cited how this administration is setting the stage for the control of your energy usage with "smart meters" (Thank-you IBM and Siemens)   WHY DID PRESIDENT BYPASS CONGRESS? HE HAS NO AUTHORITY TO TAKE OVER PRIVATE WIRELESS COMPANIES OR THE INTERNET.

Question: What poses a security threat or emergency? The definition is so vague that this administration could take over the Internet or shut down certain websites like Rush Limbaugh's because they deem him to be promoting “hate speech” or contributing to Islamic unrest in the rest of the world. You’re laughing because you think this is incredulous? But, when Obama first assumed office, one of the first things he told the Republican Congress was that he and they would get along much better if they would stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. When Gabby Giffords was shot by the lunatic in Tucson, AZ., the first one blamed for the shooting was talk radio and hosts like Rush Limbaugh—never mind that the shooter never listened to talk radio and if anything, he was a crazed Demcrat.

This administration will make up any scenario they wish to justify shutting down a website or the entire internet. Remember, this is the President and the administration which for the past 2 weeks has lied to the American people about the attack in Libya where our Ambassador and 3 others were killed. He sent his U.N. Ambassador, Susan Rice, out on Sunday talk shows to say that this was NOT a terrorist attack but was the fueled by the anti-Islamic film, "Innocence of Muslims" which NOBODY has seen,

As recently as two days ago on the View talk show, Obama who stated that he was there as "eye candy" thus exalting himself as some hot celebrity was yukking it up with the dimwitted gals on the View. He was asked if this was a “terrorist attack.” Obama wouldn’t admit to it, and then said "We don't know enough at this point. We're still gathering information." He sure didn't wait to gather information before he and Hillary started dispensing the story that this rioting and unrest in Egypt, Libya and elsewhere is the result of an anti-Islamic film. How does he know that?

 

When Barry tells these uninformed libs on the View that “We don’t know enough right now", they automatically believe him. They are on "auto-pilot" and believe every word that comes out of his mouth. But Obama says this after his own administration and intelligence officials just days earlier admitted that it was a terrorist attack. Obama wants to blame a stupid movie trailer. He and Hillary are playing the role of movie critics and giving the film, “Innocence of Muslims” 2 thumbs down. Nobody has seen this movie and the president of Libya said the day after the violence that this attack on the U.S. Embassy had nothing to do with the movie, but was a terrorist attack.

IF THIS PRESIDENT WOULD LIE TO US FOR 2 WEEKS AND REFUSE TO ADMIT TO THE TRUTH, WHAT ELSE WOULD HE LIE TO US ABOUT?

If we have a President who would LIE to us for two weeks and not admit to the truth of what really happened (because he doesn’t want to answer questions about why the Libyan embassy had NO security and the deeper questions about his failed foreign policy)., then this President would LIE to us about a security threat in order to shut down our wireless communications or the Internet.

If you think I’m making too much of this, vote for Obama in November and get ready for some national emergency which IMHO will be fabricated or “created” by this administration to give them an excuse to take over your cellphone and the Internet.

On Sunday, I’ll follow up with one more threat to the Internet which is looming on the horizon. It’s a very real threat to your use of the Internet….stay tuned.
